Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Silage & Feed Delivery Driver with 2 years experience to join our team. This role involves the timely and safe delivery of silage and feed to farms, ensuring that livestock have access to high-quality nutrition. You will be responsible for the safe operation of specialized trucks, ensuring proper unloading at designated locations, and maintaining equipment in top condition. If you're committed to safety, enjoy outdoor work, and take pride in supporting agricultural operations, this is the job for you!Key Responsibilities:Transport Silage & FeedQualifications:Valid driver’s license with 2 years experience (CDL preferred, but not always required depending on the truck and equipment).Previous experience in hauling agricultural products or similar trucking jobs preferred.Ability to work long hours, especially during peak seasons such as spring, summer, and fall.Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.Capable of working independently and efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.Preferred Skills:Experience hauling silage, feed, or other bulk agricultural products.Knowledge of safe driving practices for hauling large loads.Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.GPS and route management knowledge for efficient delivery.Working Conditions:Safely haul silage, feed, and other agricultural products from storage locations to designated farms or delivery points.Ensure that deliveries are made on schedule and in accordance with farm-specific requirements.Vehicle Operation & Maintenance:Operate delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and safety protocols.Perform daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck and hauling equipment are in good working condition.Report any mechanical issues or vehicle concerns promptly to management.Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and outside, for safety and professional presentation.Safety & Compliance:Follow all safety regulations and company policies during transport, ensuring that the load is secure and complies with safety standards.Adhere to biosecurity protocols when entering and exiting farm ply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding weight limits, transport permits, and delivery schedules.Coordination & Communication:Communicate effectively with farm personnel and other team members to ensure smooth operations.Report any delays, issues, or customer feedback to the operations team in a timely manner.Outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.).Exposure to dust, odors, and farm-related environments.Manual labor involved in loading and unloading feed.Irregular hours during peak seasons (e.g., harvest, planting, etc.).Benefits:Paid vacation days (accrued in time).Paid sick days (accrued in time).Paid holidays (accrued in time).Company cell phone for work-related communication.Access to new, well-maintained equipment (Automatic & Standard Trucks).On-site re-fueling and tire technician support.Discounted health care access.Life and accidental insurance options.Paid weekly via direct deposit.Additional Information:This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about supporting the agricultural industry.
