In this critical role, you will oversee accounting operations, with a strong focus on cost accounting and financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings. u2022 Prepare, review, and post journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals with precision. u2022 Oversee inventory and cost balances while investigating and addressing any discrepancies. u2022 Provide functional oversight for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities carried out by the accounting team. u2022 Collaborate with operations to refine labor routings, work centers, and overhead cost drivers. u2022 Develop and refine standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to improve cost visibility. u2022 Generate detailed margin and cost reports for products, product families, and jobs. u2022 Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations. u2022 Document and enhance accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy. u2022 Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen cost reporting and operational insights. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 5u20138 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. u2022 Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis. u2022 Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in NetSuite being highly preferable. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close activities and prepare financial statements. u2022 Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills to handle complex accounting tasks. u2022 Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide functional direction to accounting staff.
