Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Electrical Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and repair work on electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs Install, maintain, and repair wiring, panels, outlets, lighting, and electrical components Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and code compliance issues Recommend repairs, upgrades, or system improvements Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings and timelines Maintain accurate service documentation, work orders, and safety records Follow OSHA guidelines and local/national electrical codes Skills Required: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code requirements Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Good communication and customer service skills Equipment Used: Hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, wrenches) Power tools (drills, saws, impact drivers) Electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage testers, clamp meters) Ladders, lifts, and scaffolding Conduit bending and cable-pulling equipment Required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, arc-flash gear) Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and overhead Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments Experience: Previous electrical service experience preferred (level dependent on role) Valid driver’s license preferred Electrical license or certification a plus (Journeyman/Master, if applicable)
