Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of the bottling department. You must possess strong troubleshooting skills and have experience with mechanical equipment, including conveyors, bottlers, and labelers. The facility is advancing towards more automation and includes several robotic systems on the production line. Experience in electrical and control systems, as well as familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and conveyor lines, is highly preferred. Candidates with direct experience in bottling and/or bagging/packaging, along with pneumatic systems, are ideal for this position. Responsibilities + Perform service, repair, and preventative maintenance on bottling equipment. + Troubleshoot mechanical equipment such as conveyors, bottlers, and labelers. + Work with robotic systems and assist in the transition to more automated processes. + Troubleshoot electrical and control systems, including PLCs and VFDs. + Maintain and repair pneumatic systems associated with bottling and packaging processes. + Engage in welding and fabrication tasks as needed when machinery and equipment break down. Essential Skills + 5-6+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a food and beverage production/manufacturing facility. + Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, and production processes. + 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience. + Ability to provide own tools for maintenance tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in bottling and/or bagging/packaging processes. + Familiarity with pneumatic systems. + Knowledge of PLC, VFD, automation, robotics, electrical, and controls. Work Environment Technicians will work in a fast-paced bottling department with conveyor, bottling, and packaging equipment. The facility includes 4-5 robots, 8-9 conveyor lines, and PLC/VFD systems. While temperature controlled, the environment can become hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is a very loud setting with high-speed production lines. The production equipment is located on the bottom floor, with supervisor offices upstairs. Training will initially be on day shift for two weeks, before transitioning to a swing shift. The regular schedule is Monday-Friday, with Saturday work required twice a month. Shift times include Day: 8am-4:30pm, Swing: 4pm-12:30am, and Grave: 1 Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MANTECA, CA.
