Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Manager to oversee the shipping and warehouse operations for a steel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving processes, enforcing policies, and ensuring health and safety standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can train and support staff while fostering a positive team-focused environment. Responsibilities + Oversee shipping and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency. + Create and improve processes to reduce waste and delays. + Develop and enforce shipping policies and procedures. + Ensure health and safety standards are followed. + Train and support staff in all shipping areas. + Communicate short- and long-term goals to the warehouse team. + Collaborate with other departments to improve operations. + Supervise, train, and manage shipping staff. + Review daily shipping reports, solve problems, and prevent delays. + Maintain accurate inventory records. + Plan schedules for shipping, vacations, and training. + Evaluate employee performance fairly. + Report security issues and protect confidential information. + Assign tasks clearly and ensure their completion. + Be present on-site regularly and on schedule. + Perform other duties as needed.
