Accounts Payable Specialist u2013 Fiber Infrastructure (Contractu2011tou2011Hire) Location: Columbus, OH Pay: $25u2013$30/hour Employment Type: Contractu2011tou2011Hire About the Opportunity + Our client is a rapidly growing fiber infrastructure company building new fiber routes into major data centers throughout the Columbus market. + The company is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who must have construction industry experience. This is not optionalu2014candidates must have worked directly in AP for construction or constructionu2011related operations. + The role manages all vendor billing, AP workflows, and onboarding tied to fiber deployment projects across the Columbus area. Responsibilities + Process all vendor and subcontractor invoices tied to fiber construction projects. + Review invoice accuracy for labor, materials, subcontractor work, and change orders. + Work closely with construction managers and field teams to reconcile job costs and confirm work completed in the field. + Manage endu2011tou2011end vendor onboarding, including collecting Wu20119s, COIs, banking information, and compliance documentation. + Maintain organized and upu2011tou2011date vendor files for all active projects. + Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or request missing information. + Assist with monthu2011end close, cost tracking, and reporting for fiber deployment into data centers. Required Qualifications + Must have direct construction industry experience supporting Accounts Payable. Candidates without construction AP experience will not be considered. + Experience processing highu2011volume construction invoices and working with jobu2011costing or projectu2011based billing. + Ability to collaborate closely with field operations, project managers, and procurement teams. + Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. + Proficiency with Excel and comfort navigating ERP or accounting systems. + Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fastu2011paced, constructionu2011driven environment. Preferred Qualifications + Accounts Payable experience in telecom, fiberu2011optic construction, or utility infrastructure is a major plus. + Familiarity with underground fiber builds, aerial construction, or lowu2011voltage/telecom contractor billing. + Knowledge of lien releases, COIs, threeu2011way matching, and construction compliance workflows. + Experience with NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or constructionu2011focused ERP tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
