Key Responsibilities u00b7 Develop and implement scalable data processing solutions using Spark in Scala to enhance data analytics capabilities. u00b7 Administer and manage Databricks Unity Catalog to ensure efficient data governance and security. u00b7 Utilize Databricks CLI to automate workflows and streamline data operations. u00b7 Write efficient Python scripts to support data integration and transformation processes. u00b7 Design and optimize Databricks SQL queries to improve data retrieval and reporting efficiency. u00b7 Implement Databricks Delta Lake to ensure data reliability and consistency across platforms. u00b7 Create and manage Databricks Workflows to automate data pipelines and improve operational efficiency. u00b7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. u00b7 Troubleshoot and resolve complex data processing issues to maintain system performance and reliability. u00b7 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development and knowledge sharing. u00b7 Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions. u00b7 Contribute to the companyu2019s mission by developing innovative solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making. u00b7 Ensure all development activities align with company standards and best practices. Qualifications u00b7 Possess a strong background in Spark in Scala and Databricks technologies. u00b7 Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming for data processing tasks. u00b7 Have experience with Databricks Unity Catalog Admin and Databricks CLI. u00b7 Show expertise in Databricks SQL and Delta Lake for data management. u00b7 Exhibit knowledge of PySpark for efficient data processing. u00b7 Display the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model. u00b7 Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future Salary and Other Compensation: Application will be accepted until January 23, 2025 The annual salary for this position is between $90,000- $115,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
