In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization's goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Manage donor accounting and endowment fund activities, maintaining compliance with regulations. u2022 Prepare and monitor budgets, providing detailed oversight and analysis. u2022 Coordinate and support annual external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and complete. u2022 Conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies. u2022 Handle general ledger operations and journal entries, maintaining financial integrity. u2022 Prepare and submit tax filings, including Form 990, in compliance with regulatory requirements. u2022 Forecast financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to support organizational goals. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to enhance financial processes and reporting. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics for financial management. u2022 Expertise in managing journal entries and general ledger operations. u2022 Experience preparing and overseeing annual budgets. u2022 Knowledge of audit procedures, including financial audits and compliance. u2022 Familiarity with month-end close processes and related tasks. u2022 Ability to prepare and file Tax Form 990 accurately. u2022 Strong forecasting and variance analysis skills. u2022 Background in nonprofit financial operations is preferred.
