Description Essential Duties u00b7 Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures u00b7 Ensures compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws u00b7 Ensures accurate receiving, labeling, storage, preparation and reporting of customer freight u00b7 Manages warehouse workers providing work direction and oversight on day-to-day tasks u00b7 Coordinates delivery and pickup of warehouse customeru2019s freight and ensures proper preparations and counts prior to dispatching driver u00b7 Reports information within customer systems as necessary. u00b7 Assist with performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings and actions in coordination with Warehouse Manager and Human Resources u00b7 Maintain open and effective communication with other departments and managers, proactively mitigating issues and concerns u00b7 Field incoming calls and emails, responding appropriately and timely to internal/external customer inquiries u00b7 Ensures equipment and facility are well maintained and in good working order u00b7 Fills in for the Warehouse Manager as needed u00b7 Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications u00b7 High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred u00b7 Clean Background check required. u00b7 5 years warehousing and dock experience u00b7 Five years supervisory experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities u00b7 Strong problem solving skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form u00b7 High level of attention to detail and accuracy u00b7 Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills u00b7 Must be self-motivated and outcome focused, with developed decision making skills u00b7 Strong interpersonal skills, active listening and relationship building skills u00b7 Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and working knowledge of transportation computer based systems, TMW preferred u00b7 Treats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values u00b7 Excellent customer service skills u00b7 Basic math skills for load planning u00b7 Knowledge and experience with rigging and craning u00b7 Ability to prioritize work throughout the day Leadership Competencies u00b7 Communication: Express ideas in a clear, concise and convincing manner.
