An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to support the Medical/Surgical department in a modern, rural healthcare setting. This assignment is a full-time, 13-week contract position based in a newly constructed facility in Northeast Oregon, providing comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients.The role involves working primarily day shifts alongside two to three fellow nurses and a full-time Hospitalist physician. Candidates are expected to bring three or more years of nursing experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS to ensure quality care for the diverse patient population served.Schedule:Three 12-hour shifts per weekIncludes every other weekendKey Responsibilities:Deliver compassionate, skilled nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Med/Surg unitCollaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team membersMaintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with protocolsRespond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, utilizing ACLS, BLS, and PALS skillsDesired Qualifications:Active RN license with at least three years Med/Surg nursing experienceCurrent ACLS, BLS, and PALS certificationsStrong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilitiesCapacity to function with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentLocation:Situated in Irrigon, Oregon, this position offers the experience of working in a new, state-of-the-art medical center serving a rural community.
