This part-time role is essential for helping students in Clarke County overcome communication barriers that impact their learning and social development. Working in a rural school setting, you will be a key advocate for students with diverse needs, from early childhood through high school. Key Responsibilities Direct Student Therapy: Provide targeted speech and language therapy to students with articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders as specified in their IEPs.IEP Development: Lead and participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, including drafting measurable goals and attending meetings with parents and educators.Evaluations: Administer standardized assessments to identify communication disorders and determine eligibility for special education services.Collaborative Care: Partner with classroom teachers to integrate communication strategies into the daily curriculum and support "push-in" therapy models where appropriate.Documentation: Maintain precise and timely records of student progress and service minutes using the Alabama-mandated SETS (Special Education Tracking System).Supervision (If Applicable): Provide clinical guidance to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellows (CFYs) if required by the district.
