We believe we can reverse the multi-generational cycle of poverty afflicting communities across the nation by replacing it with a multi-generational cycle of affluence that connects children from Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, in personalized experiences of growing self-awareness, agency and eventual mastery of vocational pathway(s) that unlock their passions and capacity.Position OverviewThe Construction Trades Pathways Instructor provides high-quality instruction aligned to NLPS standards and prepares students for careers in the construction trades. This role combines hands-on technical instruction, program management, and student mentorship to support academic growth, industry readiness, and workforce development.Key ResponsibilitiesInstructional Planning & DeliveryDevelop and maintain a clear scope and sequence with appropriate pacing aligned to student needs and curricular goalsPrepare weekly and daily lesson plans that effectively address all required standardsDesign engaging, hands-on activities and projects that reinforce technical and academic skillsEnsure all students are trained in and consistently follow proper shop safety proceduresProgram & Shop ManagementInventory, maintain, and ensure safe use of construction tools and equipmentOrder instructional materials and project supplies as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe construction shop environmentProgram Development & Industry EngagementCollaborate with the CTE Director to make relevant updates to the construction programMaintain relationships with construction industry partners to stay current on trends, regulations, and workforce needsSupport healthy student enrollment and retention within the pathwayPartner with the Workforce Development Director to coordinate internship and work-based learning opportunitiesMotivation, Culture, & Student OwnershipInspire students to take pride in their achievements aReinforce The Match High Schools culture of effort, excellence, and ownershipCreate a positive, motivating classroom environment that builds confidence BenefitsCertified pay range: $55,000-$59,000, based on verified years of experience and licensureHealth Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.Retirement Plan: 401(k) with employer contribution after employed with Matchbook Learning for 90 daysPaid Time Off: Personal and sick days.$2,500 in tuition reimbursement per semester for staff pursuing education-related degrees or certificationsA $500 referral bonus for employees who refer candidates who remain employed through 90 days.Professional Development: Opportunities for growth through workshops and training sessions.Collaborative Environment: Work within a supportive, dynamic team of educators dedicated to fostering academic and social growth for all students.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit their resume to
