Position Overview Associate Faculty (PT) : BSTEC Technology Instructor PoolSALARY: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94LOCATION: Lynnwood WashingtonDESCRIPTION:The Edmonds College Business Division and Business Information Technology Department invites applications for an Associate Faculty Instructor pool. This is a part-time faculty position, teaching quarterly, online, office technology courses with a weekly student support session. This position is supported by faculty training, development, and mentoring. The college seeks faculty who will take a leadership role in their departments and the college, will adapt to a variety of teaching situations, can use technology to teach effectively, and will work effectively with students, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and student success. This Associate Faculty position reports to the Dean of Business.We accept applications for part-time faculty positions on an ongoing basis. If you wish to remain in the part-time pool beyond that time, you can update and resubmit your online application yearly.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor?s degree in teaching or relevant field.Strong knowledge/understanding of Microsoft Office Professional softwareHas essential skills and information needed to troubleshoot and problem solve, helps learners understand a wide variety of uses of Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access etc.Excellent presentation skills and the ability to interact professionally with students.Demonstrated experience managing and working effectively in both in-person and remote classroom environments.Strong verbal and written skills.Candidates must exhibit appreciation of, sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse community college environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.Excellent speaking, writing, listening, critical thinking, and technology skills.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in one or more Microsoft applicationsExperience with Canvas and other LMS platforms2 years of experience teaching adults in person and onlinePHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is typically performed in a variety of settings including classrooms, skills labs and off campus sites. Standing or sitting for long periods of time may occur in any of the settings mentioned. The ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English is essential.WORK SCHEDULE:The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each PENSATION:The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step A. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:You must document your citizenship or employment authorization within three days of hire.Criminal background checkAll new positions are contingent upon funding.At this time, Edmonds College does not sponsor H1-B plete, sign, and submit
