The Housekeeper Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with state regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting preferred (not required — training provided)Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a teamMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on feet for extended periodsAbility to comply with Connecticut Department of Public Health and infection control requirementsClean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, nursing stations, offices, and common areasDust, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces dailyRemove trash and regulated waste following infection control proceduresReplenish paper goods, soap, and sanitation suppliesClean discharge rooms thoroughly according to terminal cleaning proceduresFollow isolation and infection prevention protocols (PPE use required)Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor promptlyInteract courteously with residents, families, and staff
