POSITION TITLE: HandymanDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceREPORTS TO: Senior Operations ManagerPOSITION OVERVIEW: The Handyman position is to assist with all FHCCGLA sites with a wide range of repairs with our current 5 facilities. These tasks include trade skills, repair work, maintenance work, etc.to ensure the overall safety for all patients, visitors and staff. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Maintains general clinic repair and equipment maintenance in compliance with OSHA and Public Health Standards. 2. Ensures safety and efficiency of ALL FHCCGLA clinic facilities by conducting regular safety analysis. 3. Annually conducts a Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) Mitigation Plan for each site. 4. Identifies, documents and reports maintenance & repair work to immediate supervisor. 5. Provides updates to Operations Managers as needed. 6. Suggest additional repairs when identified or needed. 7. Ensure that all FHCCGLA clinic sites are and remain in compliance with facility ISO standards and all HSE guidelines. 8. Prepare, analyze and issue building inspection reports as necessary (e.g., safety checks, disaster preparation, etc.). 9. Repairs equipment, machine or appliance repair. 10.Maintains facilities clean (power washing, painting/touch-up’s, scheduling floor waxing, etc.). 11.Maintains a list of all agency approved paint colors. 12.Develops and implements a schedule to ensure that all facilities landscaping is being done on a weekly basis (e.g., weed removal, blower, clean-up, replacing plants, etc.). 13.Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, etc. as needed. Undertakes continuous self improvement, attending applicable training, seminars, in- services and educational classes to maintain skills competency related to this position. 14.Shall submit requests for replenishment of Home Depot credit card and submit receipts for all purchases made. NOTE: All receipts are to be signed off by the applicable Operations Manager. 15.Responsible for following all agency safety and health standards, regulations, procedures, policies and practices. 16.Shall control costs to achieve company budget goals. 17.Ensures the cleanliness, upkeep, maintenance and repairs of all interior/exterior FHCCGLA facilities at all times. 18.Responsible for the development of a cleaning schedule and ensures that it is adhered to accordingly. 19.Ensures excellent customer service to all FHCCGLA staff with whom he/she interfaces. 20.Identifies and makes notification to the C.O.O. of all faulty or non-operable equipment and / or structural items for repairs. 21.Assists in the scheduling of all annual calibrations of agency equipment at all FHCCGLA sites or as necessary. 22.Assists in developing, updates & reviews of applicable FHCCGLA Policies & Procedures (P&P’s) as needed (with input from all other key personnel). 23.Transports equipment and supplies to the agency's clinics as necessary. 24.Must maintain own vehicle, license, registration, and driving insurance as a function of the job. 25.Conducts monthly fire extinguisher inspections at all sites and ensures to document inspection on each extinguisher. 26.Participates in the Fire Drills (held twice a year) with the operations managers at each clinic site. 27.Obtains quotes for specific work as needed for any/all repairs, etc. Responsible to retain a copy of all quotes. 28.Attends the following meetings/trainings: a. Mandatory Quarterly Staff Meeting/Trainings- Quarterly (Jan., Apr., Jul. & Oct.). b. Corporate Risk Management Meeting- Quarterly (Jan., Apr., Jul. & Oct.), as needed (advanced notice will be provided when feasible). c. Disaster Preparedness Meeting/Activities (e.g., drills, trainings, etc.) d. Clinical & Operations (C&O) Meeting- As needed (advanced notice will be provided when feasible). e. Meetings with FHCCGLA’s Executive Leadership, as needed (advanced notice will be provided when feasible).29.Other pertinent meetings- As scheduled (e.g., Holiday employee events, Board boot camp, Staff retreat, etc.). 30.Remains informed of all applicable Policies & Procedures. a. 31.All tasks as assigned.31.All tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. High-School Diploma, required (or G.E.D.). 2. FQHC experience, highly preferred. 3. Motivation to take initiative to ensure all tasks performed are completed thoroughly and accurately. 4. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. 5. Computer knowledge preferred (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel). 6. Possesses strong general repair skills. 7. Ability to direct staff as necessary when following FHCCGLA’s Policies & Procedures (i.e., parking matters, safety, drills, etc.). 8. Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting. 9. Access to automobile with valid California driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance. 10.Work schedule may include evenings, overtime, and weekends as needed. May be required to be on-call. 11.Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure of deadlines. 12.Ability to meet tight time sensitive deadlines. 13.Willingness to adapt to changes with regards to the agency’s growth and expansion and urgent after-hour needs. 14.Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation that needs to be addressed and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying equipment defects, safety issues/concerns, etc. 15.Must be able to multitask and ensure to meet deadlines to ensure the operations of any FHCCGLA clinic site is not affected. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:1. In depth knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, preferred. 2. Ability to work well with others in a professional and team-oriented environment. 3. Well-developed interpersonal skills, friendly personality and able to motivate staff by promoting teamwork. 4. Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religion and economic status. 5. Excellent communication skills. 6. Willingness to travel to all FHCCGLA clinic sites. 7. Strong planning skills especially when a task is time sensitive. 8. Exceptional organizational skills. 9.
