The Nampa and Caldwell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinics are looking for a passionate and organized Medical Assistant Position Summary & Highlights : + You will be a part of the Nampa and Caldwell Orthopedics team working with MAs, RNs, Athletic Trainers, and our orthopedic physicians and surgeons. + This position will be supporting a surgeon and PA at our Nampa and Caldwell clinic locations. CNA certification does not count towards MA certification. MA experience or schooling is required.Our highly skilled orthopedic surgeons and interdisciplinary clinical teams are regarded as among the finest in the region and many have received national acclaim for their quality care. + Our clinics offer patients both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for their problems. What You Will Do : + In addition to the typical MA duties, you will draw up injections for minor procedures, complete chart prep, DME application, suture removals, casting, and splinting. + You will also assist with surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, in-basket tasks, regulatory items, and MRI authorizations. + An ideal candidate will have an interest in orthopedics, have related experience working in a surgical practice, is organized, multi-tasker, and is a flexible team player willing to jump in on whatever is needed to be done. Work Schedule : + 5 - 8 hour shifts, Monday u2013 Friday, hours varying around 7:30am - 5:30pm. + The position will work at the Nampa clinic 3 days/week and likely 2 days/week at the Caldwell clinic. Please see addresses below. + One day per week this position will be off early, but this day may vary depending on the week. + Flexibility is necessary since it may not always be the exact same schedule each day. Clinic days are Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday so those days are typically going to be a 7:30am start time. Location : + Nampa: 4424 E Flamingo Ave., Ste. 110, Nampa, Idaho 83687 (Near the Nampa Medical Center campus) + Caldwell: 712 Aviation Way, Caldwell,ID83605 (Caldwell Health Plaza) Learn more about Orthopedics at Saint Alphonsus : Minimum Requirements : + High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. + MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: + American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) + American Medical Technologists (RMA) + National Healthcare Association (CCMA) + National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) + National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) + American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) + National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) + New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification. + Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. + Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire. + Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
