Senior Java Developer Columbus, OH - Onsite from day one W2 Hiring (USC/ GC) Min. 10 years of experience. Java, SpringBoot, APIs, Microservices, AWS and Kafka 5 Positions Interview: 2 Rounds on Zoom. Open to relocation candidates Required Skills: Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security - Strong Core Java and Java Web Application development knowledge - Ability to collaborate with multiple high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals - Experience building REST and SOAP web services using Java, Spring - Know the TDD approach of designing micro services and writing JUnit test cases using any mocking framework, as well as good exposure to performance tuning java micro services - Can write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code and correctly employ design patterns - Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement - Experience performing server-side Java programming in a WebSphere/Tomcat environment. Responsibilities: * Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others * Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems * Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture * Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies * Plan, design, test, debug and deploy software solutions for managing infrastructure, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies. * Analyze infrastructure problems/constraints, inefficiencies, process gaps, risk, and regulatory issues and engineer software or automation solutions. * Work in partnership with infrastructure engineers and architects to understand and identify operational improvements.
