Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned GIS & Systems Integration Specialist with extensive years of experience in Trimble Cityworks, enterprise GIS (ESRI suite), and the integration of AM systems for water, wastewater, stormwater and other utilities. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and leadership to support our clients asset management strategy, ensure effective data integration, and enhance operational decision-making through the implementation and optimization of technology platforms.Key Responsibilitiesu2022 Lead the planning, configuration, and maintenance of Cityworks and its integration with GIS and other enterprise systems (e.g., SCADA, CCTV, ERP).u2022 Develop and maintain automated workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools to support asset lifecycle management and risk-based decision-making.u2022 Ensure alignment of asset data standards and practices with IAM frameworks, and organizational asset management objectives.u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and IT to enhance system usability and data reliability.u2022 Provide technical leadership in GIS-based asset inventory development, condition assessment strategies, and performance monitoring initiatives.u2022 Support digital transformation and innovation initiatives including mobile data collection, field integration, and cloud-based services.u2022 Mentor junior staff and facilitate training on Cityworks and GIS tools; support change management efforts related to digital asset systems. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., GISP, IAM Certificate/Diploma) preferred.u2022 Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible experience in GIS, Cityworks , and enterprise systems integration, ideally within the utilities/public works sector.u2022 Demonstrated experience designing and implementing integrated GIS/AMS solutions aligned with asset management strategies.u2022 Strong proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, Portal, Online), Python scripting, SQL Server, REST APIs, and system interoperability.u2022 Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing system-focused projects from conception through implementation.u2022 Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Preferred Skillsu2022 Prior client facing experience with local government Public Works and Utility Departmentsu2022 General understanding of systems integration concepts including REST APIs, webhooks, and interoperability platforms such as Node-RED, FME, or similar tools.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
