Job Description

Job Title: Operator Job Description As an Operator, you will be responsible for routinely using molds and presses in the production process to produce first part and regular production parts efficiently and independently. You will work on manufacturing assignments following written procedures where attention to detail and the ability to identify deviations from standard practices are essential. Collaboration with team members in a harmonious environment is crucial. Responsibilities + Operate press machines to create parts using molds. + Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions. + Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length. + Manually place a variety of materials in molds, on the mandrel, or in the build fixture. + Weigh stock and scrap for salvage. + Monitor production for defects to ensure quality. + Use production equipment and tools, including calipers and scales, regularly. + Ensure materials handling and record-keeping comply with company and ISO standards. + Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times. + Maintain a clean and safe work area, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of shifts. + Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Essential Skills + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Proficient in reading a tape measure. + Experience using hand tools for part fabrication. + Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Hand dexterity and production skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Skill in using hand tools such as calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. + Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of specific educational requirements. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment with variable conditions, including temperature changes and exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. Be prepared to handle solvents and other industrial chemicals safely. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
