Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations while mentoring and guiding the accounting team to ensure organizational success. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to streamline processes, maintain compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Train and mentor accounting team members, supporting their attention to detail and promoting a collaborative work environment. u2022 Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency. u2022 Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in construction accounting to deliver innovative solutions. u2022 Oversee compliance checklists for trade partners, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and contractual requirements. u2022 Prepare and review financial compliance reports, coordinating with external auditors as needed. u2022 Manage accurate data entry and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions within accounting systems. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reconciliations. u2022 Develop and present accounts payable aging reports, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial metrics. u2022 Act as a liaison between accounting, operations, and project management teams to address financial inquiries and optimize processes. u2022 Provide regular updates to executive leadership on company financial performance and compliance status. Requirements u2022 Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and audits. u2022 Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage or similar software. u2022 Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively while fostering a positive work culture. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments. u2022 Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations in the construction industry. u2022 Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements within financial workflows.
