The John Michael Kohler ArtsCenter is seeking Interns to join our dynamic teams for the summer.SPECIAL EVENTS INTERNSHIP What You will Do Assist with planning, settingup, trouble shooting, and managing facility rentals and special eventsAssist with preparation and execution of all Arts Center special events,including Levitt Amp Music Series throughout the summer, the MidsummerFestival of the Arts in mid-July, and the Art Center's participation in4th of July parade Organize and order supplies; maintain inventoriesComplete research related to special events and rentals, as directedInterface with the public and deliver exceptional customer service to awide variety of clientele Provide general administrative support to theSpecial Events Coordinator Who You Are A current undergraduate orgraduate student (or recent graduate) in art administration, marketing,communications, museum studies, business, or a related field Experiencedworking in a customer service-related field Strong written and verbalcommunicator with an eye for detail Interested in art, music, museums,and cultural or nonprofit organizations. Organized, adaptable, andcomfortable working in a fast-paced environment; able to quickly solveproblems Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a teamenvironment. Ability to acquire Wisconsin bartender license Have a validDriver's License and ability to work with us at our nearbylocations/events EDUCATION INTERNSHIP What You will Do Developexhibition-related art-making activities for K 12 field trips, summercamps, Midsummer Festival of the Arts, and/or the Social STUDIO Writenew tours and tour activities for K 12 field trips Support Educationprogramming at key events throughout the summer, including working inthe activity's tents at our Thursday night concert series and MidsummerFestival of the Arts AND working in the Social STUDIO Provide generaladministrative support to the Education team as needed Who You Are Acurrent undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in museumstudies, K 12 education, studio art, performing art, communications, ora related field You have prior experience and interest in working withchildren, preferably in an arts-based setting A strong written andverbal communicator; organized and adaptable Comfortable and experiencedworking with the...
