Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will allocate, estimate, and manage the mass properties for various spaceflight systems. The responsibilities of this position include generating data products to inform the overall mass health, tracking risks and opportunities, and supporting weight and balance testing of vehicle components and stage(s). Other responsibilities include contributing to the mass properties estimation of conceptual design configurations.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related technical discipline5-8+ years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or mass properties managementStrong fundamentals in mass, center of mass, and inertia computationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent technical fieldKnowledge of launch and space vehiclesFamiliarity with ANSI/AIAA S-120A-2015 - Mass Properties Control for Space SystemsExperience in developing and improving tool chains that interface with a CAD toolsetExperience in developing analysis toolchains in MATLABFamiliarity with requirement development and flow downExperience developing work orders, test procedures, and executing weight and balance testsCompensation Range for:CA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20CO applicants is $110,938.00 - $155,312.85WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
