Job Requisition ID # 26WD95049 About the Role: Serve as the tech sales point of contact for worldwide sales (WWS) leadership, ensuring technical insights are included in business decisions and technical sellers are enabled for sales priorities. Team & Structure : Within Sales Strategy & Excellence (executes on strategic initiatives & coordinates cross-functional efforts). Key Responsibilities: + Accompanying CRO to technical customer visits, providing demou2019s, etc. + Embed insights into sales strategy and decisions; advise on feasibility, risks, and gaps. + Lead and coach the technical sales team; set clear standards for engagement in the sales process. + Ensure role-based technical sales enablement and localization for regional teams. + Measure readiness and impact of the tech sales team and close capability gaps with targeted coaching and content. + Coordinate communications between product and enablement teams to drive tailored materials for upcoming products. Education and Experience: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred. + A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or sales management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. + Demonstrated experience in integrating technical insights and requirements into business decisions and strategies. Skills and Competencies: + Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of Autodesk products and solutions, as well as the broader industry landscape. + Proven track record in providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to technical sales managers and teams, driving high performance and achievement of sales priorities. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence business decisions. + Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. + Demonstrated ability to align technical sales strategies with overall business goals and sales priorities. Leadership and Management: + Proven experience in leading and managing diverse technical sales teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development. + Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve and exceed sales targets. + Effective resource allocation and project management skills to ensure technical sales teams have the necessary tools, skills, and knowledge to succeed. Technical Proficiency: + In-depth knowledge of Autodesk's product suite, including software and solutions for design, engineering, and construction. + Familiarity with CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and technical training platforms. + Proficiency in using data and analytics to drive insights and inform business decisions. Strategic and Analytical Thinking: + Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to anticipate market trends and align technical sales strategies accordingly. + Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize technical requirements and insights into actionable business plans and priorities. + Experience in developing and implementing technical sales methodologies and processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Communication and Collaboration: + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. + Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across various functions and levels within the organization. + Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,000 and $286,770. Offers are based on the candidateu2019s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
