If so, please apply today We are seeking an experienced Fraud Investigation Specialist to support fraud detection, prevention, and investigation across global Consumer and Commercial service channels. In this role, you will intercept fraudulent activity, conduct manual case reviews, analyze fraud trends, and support fraudu2011related escalations across operational environments. You will work within Microsoftu2011hosted systems to prevent financial leakage, improve customer protection, and strengthen fraudu2011mitigation strategies. Requirements Experience & Skills + Proven experience in fraud detection, investigation, or risk management within operations, device services, eu2011commerce, or financial services. + Strong analytical ability to detect fraud patterns, investigate anomalies, and interpret telemetry or deviceu2011level evidence. + Familiarity with MLu2011driven fraud tools and ability to provide feedback for model refinement. + Ability to work within structured SLAs, maintain high accuracy, and reduce false positives/false negatives. + Excellent documentation, communication, and escalation management skills. Technical Proficiency + Experience with investigation platforms or CRM systems such as Dynamics or similar tools. + Ability to navigate crossu2011system data (SAP, telemetry, service center systems). Operational Requirements + Ability to support global coverage or highu2011risk windows when required. + Maintain confidentiality of investigative techniques and comply with Microsoft security & privacy standards. + Maintain required certifications and compliance with Microsoft datau2011handling standards. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Queue Intercept (Pre u2011 Order Blocking) u2013 Identifying suspicious customer contacts or cases prior to service order creation. u00b7 Manual Risk Review u2013 Reviewing MLu2011flagged or highu2011risk orders postu2011creation to prevent fraudulent service fulfillment. u00b7 Receiving u2011 Site Fraud Support u2013 Reviewing escalations from service centers involving AFC testing, telemetry mismatches, and variance/fraud device findings. u00b7 Lost u2011 in u2011 Transit (LIT) Fraud Review u2013 Validating LIT claims using evidence, courier verifications, and fraud thresholds. u00b7 Advanced Exchange (AE) Fraud Prevention u2013 Prioritizing AE cases, reducing leakage caused by timing or coverage gaps, and applying enhanced controls. u00b7 Serial Number (SN) Ban/Unban Operations u2013 Processing device SN bans/unbans and ensuring alignment across SAP and factory/Service Center systems. u00b7 Investigation Documentation & Reporting u2013 Documenting all review actions, findings, trends, and investigator decisions. u00b7 Fraud Trend Analysis & ML Pipeline Support u2013 Providing feedback on missed fraud, new patterns, and emerging vectors. u00b7 Policy Enforcement & Fraud Escalations u2013 Supporting KYOD, LIT, AEu2011abuse, Warrantyu2011abuse, and invoice fraud investigations. u00b7 Data u2011 Driven Fraud Trend Analysis - Analyze Consumer fraud data to identify emerging trends and develop improved fraudu2011prevention strategies. u00b7 Expert Fraud Pattern Analysis - Leverage new or existing tools and techniques to establish mitigation strategies, based on fraud patterns, to prevent/contain evolving fraud trends. _Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or at any time in the future_ Hourly Rate and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
