Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description We are searching for an experienced Construction Superintendent for community solar projects located in Illinois. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations and administrative duties at multiple solar sites, ranging from 1-2.5 MW. You will ensure project construction runs smoothly, maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities + Manage daily site operations and administrative duties from the on-site trailer. + Report daily progress and safety updates to the Senior Construction Manager. + Oversee sub-vendors and coordinate with their foremen. + Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures. + Set daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and subcontractors. + Develop a three-week look-ahead schedule and collaborate with the Senior Construction Manager to meet project timelines. + Coordinate deliveries and equipment with the logistics team and subcontractors. + Review construction blueprints, project plans, and specifications daily. Essential Skills + Experience in construction management, preferably in commercial electrical or civil projects. + Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or extensive construction management experience. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Experience managing sub-vendors. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PDF, Word, and Excel. + OSHA 10 certification. + OSHA 30 certification (assistance available if required). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in solar projects. + Background in electrical or electrician work. Work Environment The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer located across central and northwest Illinois. You will work with various electrical and civil subcontractors on site. The schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, with standard construction hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime must be pre-approved and is not commonly required. The dress code is construction attire, including jeans, a t-shirt, and proper PPE. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hoopeston, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
