JOB REQUIREMENTS: Technical Specialist IIIin GAC Appleton Unique Skills:This position is for the Customer Support Engineering Group. This groupsupports alterations of in-service Gulfstream aircraft systemsincluding: avionics upgrades, satellite and ground based datacommunication , cabin data networks, cabin entertainment, cabinmanagement, cabin reconfigurations, custom furnishings (galleys,lavatories, closets, etc.). The Product Support segment is an exciting,dynamic, and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility,adaptability and quick-learning and communication skills to meetinternal and external customers' needs. Proactive communication skillsare a must, as this position is relied upon by engineering, operations,and Gulfstream ODA personnel to define certification requirements formajor alterations. Candidate must have strong design engineeringknowledge in electrical/avionics, or structures and cabin interiors, ormechanical systems. Having engineering knowledge and experience inmultiple disciplines is a plus. This position is responsible forcreating certification documents including: Certification Plans, MRAProject Statements, Compliance Checklists, Flammability Reports,Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Ground Test Plans, AirplaneFlight Manual Supplements, etc. Preferred Candidate will have experiencewriting these documents. This position requires communication andinterface and coordination with Authorized Representatives of theGulfstream ODA and its administrators. Experience working within an ODAor with the FAA is a plus. The position will be expected to have aworking knowledge of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations(14CFR - especially Part 25), as it pertains to Federal AviationAdministration (FAA). The preferred candidate will have experienceshowing compliance to these regulations. Education and ExperienceRequirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculumapplicable to the respective job position required or equivalentcombination of education and experience sufficient to successfullyperform the essential functions of the job. 13 yrs specific technicaldiscipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technicaldisciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related advdegrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fieldsapplicable to this job.
