The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring either a Traffic Signal Technician or a Traffic Signal Electrician (based on Education stated below) to join our team located in Shoshone, ID Traffic Signal Technician: Wage Range $18.00 - $22.42 Although all applicants with electrical knowledge will be considered, applicants currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program will be given extra consideration. This position will work under a licensed Electrician and will follow State of Idaho Code pertaining to Electrician Apprenticeship training, schooling, on-job-training. The incumbent will progress to becoming a licensed electrician for ITD. Example of Duties + As an Electrician Apprentice you will work directly under the supervision of a qualified Journeyman Electrician while learning to install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems in traffic signals, highway lighting, signs, buildings, structures and specialized equipment; and perform related work + Responsibilities also include researching and troubleshooting equipment issues with permanent count devices, communications equipment, and short term count devices This Position Requires + Eagerness to learn + Ability to work well under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician following electrical code manuals + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds + Respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours + Knowledge of traffic signal systems is a bonus Workin To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
