Job Title: Network Operations Analyst Job Location- Remote, USA The Network Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the organizationu2019s critical infrastructureu2014including servers, network devices, mainframes, and enterprise applicationsu2014to ensure optimal performance and high availability. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues across multiple environments, supporting application releases, and participating in disaster recovery activities. The analyst will collaborate closely with internal technology teams, external vendors, and clients to maintain stable and efficient operations. In this role, you will u00b7 Support servers, network devices, mainframes, WAN/IP Telephony networks, and enterprise applications including Java, WebSphere, and fileu2011transfer systems. u00b7 Monitor system health, execute diagnostics, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis following SOPs. u00b7 Manage help desk escalations and proactively engage users when surveillance tools detect connectivity or performance issues. u00b7 Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal technical teams to resolve installation issues and support integration projects. u00b7 Support release implementations, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, and operational readiness for new or decommissioned services. u00b7 Create and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks for recurring issues, system implementations, recovery, and shutdown procedures. u00b7 Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution across all supported environments. What youu2019ll need to succeed (required skills) u00b7 3+ years of hands-on experience with networking devices such as Cisco routers and switches . u00b7 4+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux in an enterprise environment. u00b7 Working knowledge or support experience with IBM MQ . u00b7 Strong command of Linux commands, shell scripting , and database queries . u00b7 2u20133 years of experience with WebSphere Application Server . u00b7 2u20133 years of experience interacting with or supporting databases ( DB2 preferred ). u00b7 Hands-on experience with Windows Server (various versions). u00b7 Proven ability to analyze and debug issues related to Cisco networking equipment . u00b7 Experience supporting Java server-side technologies and J2EE app servers (preferably WebSphere). Preferred skills: what will help you stand out u00b7 Red Hat Linux certification (RHCSA/RHCE). u00b7 CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or ITIL certifications. u00b7 Experience with Unisys Mainframe . u00b7 Hands-on experience with IBM MQ and Connect:Direct . u00b7 Strong Linux shell scripting capabilities. u00b7 Experience in credit card processing , digital wallets , emerging payments , or mobile payment systems. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is up to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
