GPAC is working with a well-established national food manufacturer that is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager in southwest Indiana. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for managing their shift's Quality Assurance programs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company, customer and government procedures. This role will be inspecting and auditing the operation in all phases of quality performance (raw materials, production, packaging, distribution, HACCP, GMP’s, etc). Responsibilities Carry out QA policies, procedures, and directives in the development of and compliance with company, customer, and government expectations while providing feedback and required follow up to ensure proper corrective actionParticipate with customer audits and annual SQF audit as neededConduct pre-shipment review, CCP’s, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP’s, HACCP and SSOP’sDirect inspection and sample activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and productsInspect products to specification, temp and weight checksIdentifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situationsWork with Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds Qualifications Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipmentKnowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industryKnowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOPKnowledge of USDA and FDA standardsSelf-starter, motivator, goal-oriented and a strategic thinkerGood organizational and communication skills both verbally and written Requirements Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited College or University preferredFive plus years of quality control experience; in a food-manufacturing environmentHACCP Certified (preferred)SQF Certified (preferred)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Benefits Competitive market salary $100,000 - $115,000Comprehensive benefits packageRelocation assistance We are currently arranging interviews for this position.
