About the role As a Desktop Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring seamless daily operations across desktop, infrastructure, manufacturing, and lab environments. You will support end users, maintain specialized equipment, ensure system reliability, and contribute directly to operational excellence. Your work enables high quality production, secure remote access, and consistent technology performance across the site. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Infrastructure Specialist. In this role, you will u2022 Provide advanced desktop and VIP support for onu2011site and remote users, ensuring quick resolution of issues and minimal downtime. u2022 Support manufacturing, lab, and clean room IT environments, including scanners, Zebra printers, tablets, testu2011equipment PCs, and productionu2011line devices. u2022 Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, mobility devices, and specialized equipment. u2022 Deliver Smart Hands & Feet support for network, server, and infrastructure teams, including racku2011andu2011stack work and vendor access coordination for IDF/MDF/MMR and data center areas. u2022 Troubleshoot and maintain AV systems (projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, displays). u2022 Ensure reliability of site services such as LAN, Wiu2011Fi, printing, voice, and video conferencing (including Tandberg). u2022 Manage full IT asset lifecycle: secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, hygiene validation, recovery, disposal, and updates; plus, printer usage monitoring and vendor coordination. u2022 Support cable patching coordination and assist with poweru2011shutdown maintenance for network and server equipment. u2022 Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, and asset tracking while ensuring compliance with GMP/GxP. u2022 Collaborate closely with crossu2011functional teams and OEM partners to resolve highu2011priority issues and improve system reliability. u2022 Provide user training and promote best practices to enhance productivity and system adoption. What you need to have to be considered u2022 5+ years of desktop support experience and 3+ years of VIP support experience. u2022 Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and mobility devices. u2022 Experience supporting both remote and on site users in a hybrid environment. u2022 Proficiency installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or clean room environments. u2022 Understanding of GMP/GxP processes. u2022 High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until March 2, 2026 The annual salary for this position is between $50,500 - $59,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
