Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician near Mount Olive, NJ. 6-month Contract Shift: Monday u2013 Friday 8:30am -5pm Compensation: $22-$28/hr DOE Summary/Objective: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting daily laboratory operations to maximize efficiency, quality, and employee safety. Key Responsibilities: + Perform various laboratory duties under the direction of scientific staff, such as sample extraction, workup, and pipetting. + Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety practices. + Follow applicable GLP regulations and government guidelines when conducting studies. + Document all work performed in an accurate and timely manner. + Communicate clearly and professionally with laboratory staff and scientists. + Utilize SOPs and/or methods to complete job functions. + Prepare routine solutions, maintain laboratory cleanliness, organize supplies, and ensure general laboratory maintenance. + Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as assigned. + Provide support to laboratory staff as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Proficient in the use, maintenance, and/or calibration of GLP equipment. + Previous experience in a scientific laboratory setting. + Solid understanding of laboratory operations and scientific procedures, especially related to residue, environmental fate, and metabolism studies. + Ability to work in a flexible environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities. + Capable of working with minimal supervision and independent planning and executing daily tasks. + Strong attention to detail and ability to tend to experimental details. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Good computer skills; proficiency with standard software (Windows, Excel, Word). + Ability to follow SOPs, policies, and regulations, and to provide general laboratory support. + Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures commonly used within the field of laboratory science. Education Requirements: + Minimum: Associate degree in chemistry or a science-related field. + Preferred: Bacheloru2019s degree in chemistry or a science-related field. Work Environment: + Operates in a research laboratory setting. + Routine use of standard laboratory equipment including glassware, balances, centrifuges, thermometers, pH meters, laboratory chemicals and solvents, sample oxidizer, LSC, and computers. Physical Requirements: + Must frequently stand, walk, and sit. + Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (requesting assistance when necessary).
