This individual will create comprehensive estimates for bidding prospective mechanical insulation work.Additional responsibilities include: Performing quantity takeoffs on construction projectsEstablish labor productivities for estimateMaintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricingSolicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform groupUnderstand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentagesBe involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teamParticipate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relationsContract administration for secured projectsPrepare wage and benefit schedulesAssist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations TeamAssist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s)Salary range: $92,000 - $115,000 annual base salary plus eligibility for the non-guaranteed annualized bonus programThis position is safety sensitive.Basic RequirementsMust have at least 3-5 years of professional experience estimating construction projectsMust have experience estimating the mechanical insulation scope of construction subcontractsStrong ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of workHas a strong record of establishing and maintaining successful customer relationshipsDisplays excellent verbal communicationDemonstrates strong customer service skills with an ability to foster professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPossesses a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis competencyAbility to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of workMust have proficiency with digital construction takeoff and estimating software, such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick BidProven ability to proactively identify opportunities, think creatively to develop solutions, and drive results in a competitive environmentMust be able to effectively collaborate within a teamPreferred RequirementsMultiple years' experience estimating mechanical insulation on non-residential construction projects is highly preferredBachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management preferredOSHA certificationsLocal to the Seattle area preferredThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.BenefitsAt Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
