The utility plants and systems will include natural gas/oil fired boilers, turbines, emergency diesel generators, chillers, air compressors, pumps, electric motors, fans, piping systems, and water treatment.You will:Ensure the safe operation of Stationary Engineers and Assistant Stationary Engineers reporting to youAssign job rotations for your crew and work tasks to be completed throughout the shiftEvaluate your crew's performance and train employees based on training needsOperate utility plant equipment to adhere to safety and environmental regulations and customer performance standardsMonitor plant control systems for the efficient operation of boilers, chillers, and associated utility equipment to ensure key performance indicators are metEnforce safety policies and procedures for PPE, Job Safety Plans, LOTO, Hot Work Permits, and Confined Space PermitsDocument and address employee performance issues and issue corrective actionsTrouble shoot and perform root cause analysis to prepare reports and logs on equipment problems, outages, and upsets occurringCollaborate with other plant departments such as Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), electrical, maintenance, capital projects, and contractors to maintain safe and reliable operationsWhat You'll BringA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent educationYou Must have a valid State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer LicenseA minimum one (1) year of experience in steam/power plant operations and control systems associated with utility plantsAdditional DetailsThis role requires daily attendance at a worksiteAbility to work 12-hour shifts (6PM-6AM), every other weekend, and holidaysMust possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record to operate company car across campusMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesAbility to frequently stand, walk, balance, sit, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, squat, crouch, crawl, kneel, reach, grasp, push, and pullCompensationHourly Range: $41.68 - $45.20 USDThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
