$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS - eligible to those that qualify Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center Location: US:PA: Lancaster Work Type: Full Time FTE: 1.00 Shift: Day Hours: 9:00a - 5:30p Recruiter Contact: Monica Echeverri at (MAILTO://) SUMMARY OF POSITION: Located in scenic Lancaster, PA; the Penn State Health Lime Spring Specialties office is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join the team. This office hosts over 40 specialties, including, but not limited to: Dermatology, Urology, Uro-Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Breast Care, Pain Management, Cardiology, Vascular, and Neurology. Lime Spring Specialties operates on a weekday/daytime basis Monday through Friday, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays are scheduled. The selected Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, conducting various Point of Care (POC) testing, administering medication injections, and collecting lab specimens. As a multi-specialty office, minor in-house procedures are performed with assistance from the Medical Assistant. Other duties within the MA scope of practice will be designated, as needed. The ideal Medical Assistant will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, work well individually and as part of a team, and have strong communication skills. This office sees an average of 150-300 patients/day, so previous experience in a fast-paced setting will be beneficial. If you like food trucks and unit luncheons, join the Lime Spring Specialties team MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): + High School diploma or equivalent required. + Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S): + Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program + Previous outpatient experience preferred. WHY PENN STATE HEALTH?
