Description The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one regular, full-time position in the class of Library Branch Supervisor (MLS) at the Winters Community Library of the Yolo County Library system. The selected candidate will work primarily at the Winters Community Library and will be required to work evening and weekend hours as part of their regular schedule. This position will work in a team environment and will oversee the daily operations of a rural community joint-use branch library located on the Winters High School campus.The Branch Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of the library, including close collaboration with school library staff, recruiting volunteers, acting as the Yolo County Library liaison to Winters High School, the Friends group and other community groups, providing quality library services to school class visits, performing circulation duties, responding to questions from patrons in person, over the phone and by email, developing, planning, and executing programs and community outreach, and overseeing the daily use and maintenance of public computers. The ideal candidate will be a community-oriented professional who is bilingual in Spanish, though other languages may also be desirable. The candidate should be enthusiastic about promoting the library to a diverse community and reducing barriers to access.
