A dedicated and experienced educator delivering engaging classroom instructions, and providing student support with a proven ability to facilitate learning and assess student progress in a dynamic academic environment.Direct Research Methodology course for second year podiatric medical studentsOrganize handout materials and lecture materials in a manner that students can easily access (Canvas)Prepare syllabi and examinations with emphasis on objectives published in the Curriculum Guide authored by the Council of Faculties of Colleges of Podiatric MedicineDeliver didactic lecturesProvide PowerPoint (Slide Deck) lecture materials twenty-four hours prior to the lectureDevelop and prepare examination questions in keeping with National Board (APMLE Part 1) requirementsPrepare assessments in keeping with department schedules and the academic calendarWork with student representatives (Education Committee, Teaching Assistants, Tutors) to review assessment items and requirementsEnsure that information is transmitted to remainder of studentsProvide students with up-to-date information on research methods, current FDA regulations and protection of human research volunteersGood interpersonal skills including patience and empathy to create a learning environment that enhances active learningDeveloping and reviewing standard exam questions with explanations of the answersCreating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learningSetting up assessments based on departmental regulations and requirementsPreparing students for assessments and providing helpful performance feedbackProviding extra support to students who require it and scheduling consultation times where questions and concerns can be voicedAnswering students' questions and providing feedback on assignmentsRecommending additional readings or advice to students as requiredPublished papers or research articles would be a plusSuperb interpersonal, observational, and communication skillsGood analytical and organizational skillsEducation/ExperienceDoctorate Degree requiredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong attention to details requiredAccuracy and productivity in completing tasks requiredA high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion requiredDemonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students & facultyAbility to solve complex problems and meet deadlines requiredDemonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) requiredUSD $250.00/Hr.USD $200.00/Hr.
