DescriptionMechanic/ Air Conditioning Technician Job DescriptionJob BriefWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Air Conditioning Technician to install, maintain and repair air conditioning systems.The technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.He or she will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air conditioning equipment for their needs.The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent problem-solving skills.Good physical condition and attention to detail will be required for the successful execution of duties.ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair air conditioning systems and equipmentIdentify maintenance risks on equipmentDiagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctionsPerform regular maintenance work on cooling unitsInspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standardsUse specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to test and repair equipmentEnsure proper installation, calibration and set-up of equipmentProvide excellent customer service and explain any repairs neededEnsure jobs are completed in a timely manner to high quality standardsQualificationsProven experience as an AC technicianExcellent understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heatingWorking knowledge of boiler systemsProficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocolsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in confined spaces and open-air environmentsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be preferred but not requiredValid drivers license
