Job Title: Kansas City Chiefs Radio Audio EngineerDepartment: TechnicalReporting To: Brand ManagerEmployment Type: Part-TimeWork Arrangement: On-siteJob Description:Audacy Kansas City is looking for an Assistant Field Engineer who is responsible for setup and tear down of broadcast equipment, connections back to the studios and sound quality optimization.What You'll Do:Minimum 1-3 years broadcast engineering experienceHands-on FM, HD and AM transmitter experienceAbility to inspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antenna’s, satellite downlinks, automation system, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone system and related other equipmentRun and record remote broadcasts and operate remote equipment, such as Comrex Access, mixing boards, mic/instrumentsStrong proven time management skills including ability to multitask in a multiple project environmentIT & Network knowledge and experienceStrong PC skills including proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and documentation software applicationsExperience with Computer based audio storage system (WideOrbit/VoxPro preferred)Experience with digital audio and audio streamingAssist with the maintenance and development of all aspects of technical facilities including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite, STL, computers and data networks.Required & Preferred:Excellent customer service and communication skills are criticalBasic knowledge of computers and IT systems is a must, including networking and proficiency with Google Workspace.A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is requiredStrong verbal and writing communications skillsKnowledge of FCC Rules and RegulationsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; tall or hear; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
