Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Escondido, California. The successful candidate will oversee various accounting functions, ensuring the integrity of financial processes while collaborating with a part-time assistant. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online. u2022 Manage accounts payable and receivable, including verifying receipts, coding transactions, and processing payments. u2022 Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Prepare and maintain balance sheets, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking. u2022 Ensure tax readiness by organizing and preparing financial data for compliance purposes. u2022 Conduct light collections activities, including friendly reminders and payment follow-ups. u2022 Oversee financial tracking related to service-based job workflows. u2022 Safeguard sensitive financial and payroll information with confidentiality and professionalism. u2022 Provide guidance and oversight to a part-time assistant handling routine bookkeeping tasks. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in the service industry. u2022 Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including workflows, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheets. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with leadership using accounting terminology. u2022 Comfortable handling light collections outreach with attention to detail. u2022 Highly organized, meticulous, and trustworthy in managing financial data. u2022 Experience mentoring or overseeing entry-level staff is a plus.
