Job Description

Job Title: Operator Job Description The Operator will routinely use molds and presses in the production process to produce both initial and regular production parts efficiently and with minimal supervision. This role involves working on manufacturing assignments per written procedures, requiring the ability to recognize any deviations from accepted practices. The ideal candidate should thrive in a team environment and maintain good relationships with co-workers. Responsibilities + Operate press machine to create parts using molds. + Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions. + Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length. + Place various materials by hand into molds, on the mandrel, or in the build fixture. + Weigh stock and scrap materials for salvage. + Monitor production for defects to ensure early detection. + Regularly use production equipment and tools such as calipers and scales. + Ensure materials handling and recordkeeping meet company and ISO standards. + Adhere to internal safety policies and procedures at all times. + Maintain a clutter-free and hazard-free work area, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of shifts. + Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Essential Skills + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Proficiency in reading a tape measure. + Experience using hand tools to fabricate parts. + Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Hand dexterity and production finishing skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Day Med Press. + Skilled in using hand tools including calipers, depth gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. + A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of exact educational requirements. Work Environment The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with variable conditions such as temperature instability and exposure to atmospheric conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. There is also potential exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
