As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the Day will Look Like:Lead actuary on client teams, leading actuarial projects and client relationshipInfluence clients' overall strategic and financial direction in benefits; frame results in the context of the marketplaceProject savings/costs related to health benefits and applicable changesMentor and leverage work to less experienced actuariesReview health care budgets and contribution settingMake statements of actuarial opinion and lead analysis behind them; directly responsible for all actuarial deliverablesCommunicate actuarial results to clients; lead all financial meetings, explaining actuarial results and potential alternativesAssist in benchmarking discussions with clients, including strategy evolution as a result of benchmarking dataPerform IBNP reserve developmentReview models to evaluate cost-saving scenariosSeek and provide peer review to ensure high quality client deliverablesDevelop general consulting skills, knowledge, and exposureHow this opportunity is different:Your role will include participating in client account management, allow you build and manage strong and sustainable relationships with clients, and will require you to respond to the needs and objectives of leadership of Aon's insurance and reinsurance practices. The role is for an individual with a strong analytics background who is interested in actuarial and strategic consulting.Skills and Expertise that will lead to SuccessASA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation required.7+ years of industry experience (carrier or health care consulting)Project/client/financial management experienceBroad business knowledge/perspectiveBusiness development experience, including competitor and market knowledge a plusBachelor's degreePay Transparency LawsThe salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $140k-190k annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
