The Head Mens Basketball Coach/Senior Associate Athletic Director is responsible for providing leadership, organization and administration to the basketball team.Essential Duties for Head Mens Basketball CoachCreate a positive and empathetic environment for our student-athletesWork with Athletic Administration and Support Staff to help the program grow in a positive mannerDevelop and execute recruiting strategies to reach recruiting goals set by the Athletic DepartmentReach roster goals set by the Athletic DepartmentUse recruiting software provided by the Athletic DepartmentInstruct mens basketball student-athletes on all aspects of competition, including practice organization, game strategy, individual skill improvement, communication, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanshipGame preparationCreate daily practice plansCoordinate non-conference game scheduleManage team academic requirements and standardsManage team standards on and off the courtInventory team uniforms, gear and equipmentHire and manage part-time assistant coachKnowledge of and commitment to all NCAA, Skyline Conference and UMSV regulationsGame management responsibilitiesOther duties assigned by the Athletic DirectorEssential Duties for Senior Associate Athletic DirectorCollaborate with the Director for Athletics and the Vice President for University Student Engagement to build and elevate a prominent mens basketball program.Lead and actively participate in fundraising initiatives supporting the entire Athletic Department.Serve as a core member of the Athletic Departments senior leadership team.Partner with the Athletic Director and Vice President for University Student Engagement on high-level strategic projects and initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's Degree5 years of relevant Head Coach or Assistant Coach experience at the University level or aboveKnowledge of NCAA rules and regulationsEffective communication skillsAttention to detail and administrative abilitiesWorking knowledge of MicrosoftValid driver's licenseBenefitsThe annual salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00
