The Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University is looking for an Overnight Clinical Coordinator for our Equine & Livestock hospital. This role will be primarily after hours and weekends. In this role you will be the first point of contact for clientu2019s seeking CSUu2019s Equine and Livestock Veterinary In-house and Ambulatory Services after hours. In this role you are responsible for ensuring smooth hospital operations for equine and livestock clients, providing excellent client service, and supporting veterinary teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The keys responsibilities of this role are as follows: u00b7 Greet equine and livestock clients and check in patients arriving for after-hours emergency appointments. u00b7 Responsible for answering phone calls coming to the equine and livestock direct lines, scheduling emergency visits in the EMR, paging/connecting clinicians, routing emergency calls appropriately. u2022 Maintain the online scheduling system in the EMR, verify client/patient information is correct in the EMR, provide information to clients on the emergency admittance process, and determine the urgency of a clientu2019s request. u2022 Responsible for collection of deposits when the emergency appointment is scheduled/arrives and account balances at the time the service is completed. u2022 Responsible for accurately scanning and uploading patient medical record documents into the EMR. u2022 Other duties as necessary. This work unit exists to provide administration and direction of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and provide a support facility for service to the general public and referring veterinarians. Financial 30% + Communicate service deposit requirements when client calls for an after hours appointment. + Collects the appropriate deposit and notes appropriately in the EMR. + Collects deposits for any elective cases dropping off after hours and notes them appropriately in the EMR. + Collects payment in full for all clients picking up an animal after hours and notes it appropriately in the EMR. Medical Record Management 20% + Upload treatment sheets, controlled drug logs and other paper medical records into the appropriate patient record in the EMR. + Add outside bloodwork, imaging or medical records to the appropriate patient medical record in the EMR. + Update client or patient information in the EMR Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires) Position Supervisory Responsibilities: 0 Required Job Qualifications: + Two or more years of experience in customer service, including direct client interaction. + High School diploma or GED + Ability to work a full-time schedule onsite, including overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed. + The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Preferred Job Qualifications: + Prior experience working with equine and/or livestock. + Prior experience in human or veterinary related field providing client service including direct interaction with clients. + Team-oriented and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with clinicians, coworkers, students, volunteers, and clients. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work within a team and manage clinic logistics without supervision to include: + Ability to set and change priorities and multi-task in a face paced, high- pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude. + Possess a strong level of attention to detail. + Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. + Ability to make timely decisions.
