Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description Our parts processor provides accurate measurements and precision cutting of parts using various technologies as per blueprints. Responsibilities + Receive and read instructions, implementing specific guidelines. + Review and interpret blueprints. + Maintain strong attention to detail. + Calculate angles and pitch from rise and run. + Understand basic angles and their applications. + Possess knowledge of all cutting types including Band Saw, Torch, Plasma, and Shear. + Perform notching, punching, and Press Brake functions. + Follow directions effectively. + Operate a forklift (certification preferred). + Recognize different material types, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. + Stand for long periods and lift up to 75 lbs as part of production responsibilities. Essential Skills + Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. + Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. + Skill to crawl on hands and knees and climb a ladder. + Willingness to work long hours. + Experience working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions. + Relevant experience in mechanical, technical, painting, and/or machining fields. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma. + 5+ years of experience in a relevant area. + Familiarity with CNC operation and machining. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role involves working in a fabrication shop environment on a smaller team of about 40 people. The work requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. Shifts include 3rd shift Monday-Thursday from 6 pm-6 am and 1st shift Monday-Friday starting at 6 am. The work environment can be more dirty due to the nature of the fabrication shop, so personal protective equipment such as jeans, a work-appropriate shirt, steel-toed boots, a weld helmet, and safety glasses are required. The facility is new, with plans for expansion in 2026. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
