Check out what our employees say This Role:You will be using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment.You will be performing diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands, every day.You will be responsible for setting up and running lab tests and reading and releasing results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).You can expect to specialize in one or more of the following areas:Hematology, Chemistry, and/or UrinalysisWhat You'll Need To Succeed:You must have 1-2+ experience working in a clinical diagnostic laboratory setting up, running, reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes and / or clinical diagnostic analyzers) in a high volume Clinical Diagnostic LabYou have attended school, formal academia OR in-depth, equivalent work experience focusing on Clinical Pathology/Medical Laboratory Technician/TechnologistASCP/AMT Certification is a plusStrong competency/experience in 1 or more the following Bench areasHematologyYour skillset includes experience running samples on or operating one or more of the following analyzers: Sysmex; Di60 Cell Image Analyzer or CellaVisionYou have an ability to complete manual differential cell counts and coagulation tests in high-volume workloadChemistryYour skillset includes the ability to utilize different centrifuge machines, Beckman Chemistry Analyzers or Immulite AnalyzersUrinalysisYour skillset includes the ability to operate a CLINITEK Novus Analyzer and experience manually analyzing urine samples using a microscopeClinical Analyzer Maintenance / Quality Control Experience a plusYou have reliable and precise data management skills to record and maintain precise records and diagnostic reportsYou are able to conduct maintenance, basic troubleshooting and calibration on laboratory analyzersYou have excellent time management skills that will be beneficial in a high-volume, fast- paced laboratory environmentCommunication skills are a must as we work collectively as a teamYou have a great sense of team spirit and responsibilityAble to meet the physical requirements that go with working in a lab - standing and sitting for extended periods of time, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability - close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.This is a laboratory, so there is potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals.What You Can Expect From Us:Hourly rate targeting: $ 24-27+ with flexibility based on skillset of candidateOpportunity for annual cash bonusOpportunity for performance based annual merit increaseHealth / Dental / Vision Benefits Day - One5% matching 401kOn the job training and career advancement opportunitiesAdditional benefits including but not limited to financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and much moreSchedule:The hours for this position
