Job Description

Provides back-office operations support of Trust accounts and Trust system including fee processing, cash sweep/trade processing, transaction processing, review and reconciliation. Responsible for daily regulatory tax payments, reconciliation and reporting. Coordinate reporting, updates, changes and corrections with Trust system vendors. Exhibits core competencies that result in consistent delivery of positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership and demonstrates key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution Oriented and Thoroughness.Primary Accountabilities:Trust Operations Support:Work with Trust Division and related branch departments to provide back-office support for Trust accounts.Perform daily transaction processing, Retirement benefits transaction processing, review, updates, reconciliation and document maintenance; includes reconciliation to bank general ledger accounts, IMMA interest posting and research of account transactions.Responsible for fee processing, posting, adjustments, tracking and reconciliation.Coordinate statement reporting activities including tracking, pricing, corrections and compiling.Act as liaison between Trust Division and vendors.Provide back up for Trust Operations Officer and assist/back up other Trust department functions, as necessary.Regulatory/Compliance:Responsible for 945 federal withholding payments and reporting in preparation of annual Form ply with external and internal regulatory and Bank operational requirements.Assist with development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to Division/operations policies, procedures, business practices and performance standards.Analytical Support:Provide analytical support to Trust Division for Trust Operations functions.Audits:Prepare quarterly certifications to ensure compliance with bank and division procedures.Follow dual control and authority procedures.Ensure safe-keeping of high-risk negotiable instruments, i.e. checks, stock certifications, wills and trust documents.Projects:Special projects as assigned by manager.Ability to work independently.Minimum Qualifications:Education:Specialist I, II, or III:High School Diploma or GED equivalencyrequired.Experience:Specialist I:1+ years of experience in trust operations, including entering transactions and obtaining reports/information from trust accounting systems required.Specialist II:2+ years of experience in trust operations, including entering transactions and obtaining reports/information from trust accounting systems required.Specialist III:3+ years of experience in trust operations, including entering transactions and obtaining reports/information from trust accounting systems required.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
