Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will provide critical administrative support to the HR department and executive team, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in staffing, recruiting, and HR administration while working in a collaborative, on-site environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Organize and maintain digital records for efficient filing and retrieval. u2022 Assist the executive team and HR group with administrative tasks to streamline processes. u2022 Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers. u2022 Support HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and background checks. u2022 Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) to manage employee data and ensure accuracy. u2022 Perform general office duties, including managing correspondence and scheduling. u2022 Use Microsoft Outlook for communication, scheduling, and task management. u2022 Help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. u2022 Provide exceptional customer service to employees and candidates. u2022 Contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR team through proactive support. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar administrative or HR role. u2022 Familiarity with HR administration processes, including onboarding and employee relations. u2022 Experience using HRIS platforms to manage employee data. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and communication. u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities. u2022 Comfortable interacting with people and providing excellent service.
