This hybrid leadership role combines key responsibilities of branch operations management with hands-on dispatch and logistics oversight to maximize service quality, profitability, and daily workflow efficiency. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to grow with a company that values hard work and dedication.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Efficiency Management Direct and coordinate overall operations to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectivenessPlan, develop, and implement operational policies across warehousing, transportation, and customer serviceDesign and manage a central dispatch system for improved logistics and workflowOutline and implement operational changes and continuous improvement initiativesMonitor and manage operating budgets for warehouse, manufacturing, and truckingDispatching & Logistics Coordination Schedule and dispatch delivery crews in a safe, efficient manner that maximizes productivity and profitability Maintain accurate communication of all delivery orders with warehouse and delivery teams Use and maintain DOT dispatch software to exceed compliance standardsConfirm addresses, materials, stocking conditions, and delivery requirements before trucks depart Provide direction to drivers when logistical or customer service issues arise Manage material accuracy/verification for each delivery truck and monitor labor cost efficiency Customer Relations & CommunicationMaintain communication with customers before, during, and after deliveries Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers Communicate delivery statuses to customers, sales teams, and management Escalate customer or delivery concerns to the Branch Manager Technology & Reporting Leverage technology to improve operational competitiveness and dispatch accuracyMaintain proficiency with Microsoft Office products and internal dispatch systems Support implementation of new tools to increase delivery accuracy and service quality Compliance, Facility & Resource Management Ensure trucking operations comply with DOT requirements Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and company safety standards Oversee warehouse conditions, equipment, cleanliness, and storage efficiency Coordinate with purchasing and receiving to ensure accurate and timely material arrivalsMaintain communication with vendors regarding missing materials, back orders, or delivery challenges Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, customer data, financial reports, and proprietary methods Miscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customersOther duties as assigned QualificationsBuilding materials product knowledge strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in management or related field or equivalent experienceAt least 2+ years of management experience or leadership experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred Strong computer and data-entry skillsAbility to read maps and provide clear driving directions Strong organizational skills and ability to handle fast-paced scheduling demandsDemonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive mindset Effective interpersonal skills with customers, peers, and drivers Ability to work independently with limited oversight Reports ToBranch ManagerCompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
