Description We are looking for a Residential Loan Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in COS COB, Connecticut. This role supports the Residential Lending Department of a financial institution, focusing on administrative and operational tasks related to mortgage loans. Ideal candidates will have experience in the financial services industry, particularly in residential lending, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Organize and maintain residential loan files, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with internal policies. u2022 Prepare standard customer documents and correspondence using established templates. u2022 Provide updates to customers and team members regarding loan status, missing items, and inquiries. u2022 Coordinate with third parties to secure required documentation, such as verifications and payoffs. u2022 Assist loan processors and officers with administrative tasks, including updating tracking tools and shared file platforms. u2022 Generate disclosures, letters, and forms for customer review and ensure accuracy in all document preparation. u2022 Follow up with external partners, such as appraisers and attorneys, to ensure timely receipt of necessary reports. u2022 Monitor outstanding items and escalate delays to maintain efficient processing timelines. u2022 Support compliance and audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation storage and organization. u2022 Maintain a service-oriented approach in communication with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements u2022 Previous experience in banking, mortgage, or financial services is preferred. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shared file platforms such as OneDrive or ShareFile. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication abilities. u2022 Familiarity with residential mortgage terminology and documentation is a plus. u2022 Experience with loan origination systems or document management platforms is beneficial. u2022 Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.
