Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and track costs associated with multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate allocations for labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses. u2022 Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, analyze job profitability, and identify financial variances. u2022 Prepare and submit progress billings, including tracking retainage and change orders, while adhering to contract terms. u2022 Support month-end and year-end close processes by reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries. u2022 Assist in generating financial reports and schedules to support internal and external reporting needs. u2022 Serve as a backup for certified payroll reporting, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements. u2022 Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, inspections, and internal controls. u2022 Work with the Controller on audits, insurance reviews, and financial performance evaluations. u2022 Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction accounting. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus in construction or a similar industry. u2022 Strong understanding of job costing, progress billing, and construction contracts. u2022 Experience with certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage requirements, particularly in California. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 100 Contractor, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. u2022 Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large sets of financial data. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
